Organize Your Workspace with SafeRack: Introducing the Tire Rack and Rivet Nut Tool !
There was a lot of oxidized and failed clear coat that needed to be removed.
Yeah I definitely could have done more. I wanted to see what would happen if I just cleaned and applied. Still looks about 60% better but you are correct.
I added AT-205 to my 76 VW Bus camper. I''ve had it at 3 top classic car mechanics and they all say it's in great condition accept for the slight oil leak. Well, It's defiantly leaking a quarter size drip a day. So I put in the 205. 5 hundred miles later it's still leaking. Can I ADD more 205?. Will it be bad for the engine to add more ?. No one says that it's a major issue but the Bus still leaks with the 205. What should I do now?. Is another bottle going to hurt the engine. ? Reply
Great question. You don’t want to add another bottle. You should do an oil change and then add a new bottle. You should never have more than one bottle at a time.
I changed my Rear brake pads without putting it in Brake maintenance mode. Now error keeps parking brake errors keeps popping up. How can I reset it?
That’s a great question. I have not had this issue but I am guessing that it needs a reset via OBD2 scanner.
Tried another brand first ran it for a month did nothing to stop my rear main seal from leaking , changed my oil and filter put AT-205 in and an hour later leak has practically stopped 👍
That is exactly the same same situation I found. I had tried STP before this and it did not stop the leak but AT 205 sure did.
@@JohnEngel i used Rislone first was a waste of money
@@Lord-hoboco777 good to know. Thank you.
Can’t get it in DE or PA
I have never understood why some states do not allow this product
I've been planning on getting a lift for a couple of years and after reading all I could, I would stick with Advantage lifts. Vastly superior materials quality and safety design. A but more than these, but you get your money's worth!
I’ll have to look into them. Thank you.
vert nice👍
Thank you
The interview was a great movie
I need to watch it. I love the clip.
@JohnEngel how did it hold up after one year? Still looks crystal clean?
Unfortunately, I sold it before one year, but it did still look very good when I sold it
@@JohnEngel glad to hear that. I’m probably gonna try this on my brother in law’s 05’ Toyota Sienna.
Oooooooh. She looks so purty there.
She is a looker. Lol. 😂
Great video. Crazy how prices have changed in a few years. I paid 21k for my 20x50 with 14’ walls a 16w 14h front door and a 8x8 back door. You definitely got a better price. I wish I had the room for 30wide like yours
Thank you so much. I totally agree about prices. I’m very fortunate to have done this before hyperinflation.
Thanks for this video. I've been trying to take care of my late mother's car. I recently cleaned the windshield and realized that a good chunk of what I thought was dirt and streaks were actually scratches from the wiperblades that I replaced a while back, so now I'm looking into polishing. Thanks to you, I know what I need to do now.
Thank you so much. This should do a great job.
Helpful video. Thanks!
Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for this video!!!! I just tried it and it worked beautifully 😍😍😍 got rid of all the oxidation from my lights. I was gonna pay someone to do it for me but now I don’t need to thank you bro ❤
So glad it worked. I was also impressed with the results. Thank you for watching.
It worked on my 2017 VW Golf TSI with leaking Transmission oil cooler. I just mixed it to the transmission oil and worked like it should, zero leak and AT-205 save my time and money replacing hard to reach parts.
Same for me. Love this.
I've used it for years. The key is you have to flow the directions exactly. Then you have to make sure you don't do extended oil changes. Do them every 3.5-4k instead of 5k. If it doesn't stop the leak then it's not the rear main seal and a gasket seal oil doesn't have much contact with that likely has harden. That little.bottle has saved me $1500 just to.replace a $10 part. 😂
Totally agree.
Thanks to your Videos, just did to my 2004 rav4. Mine was not to yellow. Just the compound did the job already. Your video was year ago. How long does it last?
It lasted for a year and then I sold the z4.
Tried it. Didn't work.
I hate to hear that. Would love to have seen the before and after.
Well obviously you did it wrong. It does work
Can you rent the compression tool for squeezing hydraulic pads for re-asserting over the brake pads? Or can a c-clamp be utilized as long as careful not to gouge pads?
I am sure you can rent one. They aren’t really expensive at all. You can use a c clamp as well.
Jeez make a longer intro
Really. I could do a minute. How long do you think it should be. ;)
Hello sir after concrete flooring How can I apply epoxy ? Can you please tell me how to use epoxy effectively ?
Epoxy is much different than the sealant in the video.
That viper has always been my dream car.... awesome 👌
Thank you so much. I still love it.
Thanks! I going to remove my old decals from my 87’ b2200.
Thanks for watching.
Shouldn't you drain some oil, or better replace the oil, first before putting in the additive?
The best way to use this product is to add it when you do an oil change. That way your level is perfect.
It's actually the best place for a battery.
Why is that?
@@JohnEngel Aside from the added complexity of replacing it, it removes the center of gravity significantly. That among a few other reasons is why you can drift with a Cayenne, but if you do the same with a 4Runner you will roll the vehicle. With every new iteration of the Cayenne Porsche moved weight around, replaced metal with alloys etc. If I remember correctly by about 400lbs between the 958 and the 955/957. Moving an almost 70lbs battery 20" lower and towards the center of the vehicle is very significant and adds to the safety of the vehicle. Then, the battery is much more protected from the elements under the seat. When I replaced mine the old one looked brand new. This is why you see lots of people report batteries in a Cayenne lasting 9 or 10 years. So the pain of replacing it really is negated by the longevity. You could argue that it makes it more environmentally friendly as a result. To summarize: Improved safety due to lower center of gravity and improved driving dynamics and more reliable and longer lasting battery for the user. I think the much higher safety is a reason alone why it is a great location.
@@sunsetrider45 I have to say, this is the best worded response I have ever had. I am now leaning toward your side. My battery was a 9 year original and did look like new. I’m not drifting this car but having the lower center of gravity does mean it won’t flip as easy easy. Thank you so much for the detailed response and well articulated answer.
John, I recently purchased a 2007 Boxster S 987. What was the name of the install video you watched on the Boxster install? I can't seem to find it. Thanks
Look up “watch JR Go” and add Porsche radio install.
Great Video! I am looking to bypass the bose setup, and fairly good with electrical work. Can you tell me, is the standard harness plug & the spiral bose plug into the loom the same? I will end up running new stereo outs, so hoping that I can just use the standard plug, for power etc and save cutting the factory harness Searched most of the internet and cannot find anyone who has held both - you are my unicorn! Again love the video, and appreciate any help
Thats a great question. If I recall correctly, they do not.
you dont say how to reset oil change warning??
It’s at the 8:49 mark.
Price increase since 2019, = 50%
Sad and true.
Who’s is that?
Jesse James. He is working on it.
@@JohnEngel nice!
Great video, clearly explained.
Thank you so much.
Oooooh man... That is a sexy sneak peek!
Thank you. I might be excited.
@@JohnEngel As you should be from this... can't wait to see the rest of it and what you (maybe we?) can do with it.
@@MilledgeAustin oh we will play.
308or 338
Very good guesses. One is correct.
308?
This is a great guess.
In SoCal they want 14,000 for a 30x40, same doorings, 4", #3 rebar though on 24" centers.
That’s great.
@@JohnEngel Sorry, I forgot to clarify that is only the cost of the concrete foundation. It's about double in four years.
@@UncleSarkis gotcha. Wow. Yeah prices have gone crazy. Especially concrete.
If you believe any of these leak-fix additives really work, I got a bridge.... Come on people.
LOL, I am looking for a nice bridge. All I can tell you is that I have used this product with positive results. I am not a paid sponsor or affiliate of AT 205 so I only can speak on what I have witnessed.
My major major concern with doing something like this on the windsheild is getting distortion once the scratch is gone. Did you notice any distortion in the glass afterwards even in the slightest bit? A shimmering of light over the area at night? Modern day glass is thinner than it used to be.
I have been lucky. It was so bad with the scratch that now it’s so much better.
Hey man thank-you I've been dealing my own for months and most of em are bubbled lol but this really really helped
Thank you so much. Glad it was helpful.
I have to imagine that you need more than soap and water to prep an older garage that already has various stains and oil on it.
Absolutely, you would want to use an acid and even do a sanding.
My light diesel engines oil cooler is leaking small amounts of engine oil into my engines water galleries when i rev the engine hard. Do you think this will help the o rings in the oil cooler swell enough to stop the leak?
The vehicle is a 2004 Kia pregio
@@hellohello8556 if it’s an o ring this should help.
@@JohnEngel Thanks I'm thinking about giving it a try. If I do I'll let you know the result. 👍
I don't know without reading all the comments, not doing that. Not how wheels should be torqued. I bet someone already said it. Star pattern. Old school les schwab tires guy here.
Wheels were torqued using a star pattern. Now when I first put them on and the car is lifted I just tighten until torqued at the end.
Thanks for taking the time to produce& and share this vid', and 'real world' findings 🙂 Acquired 4 units of it. Will be using single unit(s) on the '82 Ford F100 V6 3.8L M30T & the '96 GMC Sierra V8 K1500 . Btw, 6 u.s. quarts = 5.68 litres ;-)
Thank you so much.
Could you tell me if the control arm fitting has any adjustment? I see you can adjust pushrods but i dont want to loose ground speed however steering is really stiff and like to adjust if possible. Wonder if the gas struts are adjustable? Service manual no info. Also on the spring built on control arm fitting i think one is coming loose but again see no info anywhere to confirm what this does..
That’s a great question. Unfortunately, I am not sure but also have an issue with my throttle arms not being equal.

Since the foam is combustible, I would not leave leave the walls and ceiling uncovered. In most places covering combustible insulation is a building code requirement. And, if a fire occurs insurance will not cover it.
Great info. Thank you.
Hi John, how many total screws did you remove to take out the under cover? Thank you. Martinellis
That’s a great question and I have no idea. Lol. All of them.
My 2005 GT is missing the cover , will order a new one and new screws.
These oil additives are basically a one time deal, if they dont work the first time adding mor is just a waste. Time to break down and replace whatever seal has failed.
I do agree with this. Great point.
The areas of the hood that are white and flaky is the failed clearcoat. If you want it to look good you need to sand off the white flaky stuff and get down to the color coat (basecoat). When clearcoat fails it delaminates from the basecoat and makes that hazy, rough, flaky looking mess. Once you get past the clearcoat it will be a different color tone and dull. Then the product you used will look much better applied over the affected area.
Thank you so much.
